About Us:
KJC Games is a virtual games division headed under Key Jay Compound LLC. Our specialty will be in 2D and 2.5D based games development and publishing spanning multiple genres including platformers, side scroller beat-em-ups, RPGs, and more.

I am very familiar working with remote teams having published audio works with artists all the way from California, to Australia, and comic works (under KJC Comix (http://kjccomix.com)) with illustrators from Chile to the Philippines; as you can see, KJC embraces global collaboration and emphasises the advancement of the creative class…minus the boundaries.

We’ve worked with many high quality artists in comics and music and we expect nothing less from games as well.

Influences:
The founder is a very heavy advocate for anything simulating classical 2D style animation and finds the allure of 2D based games in reminiscent of classic 16-bit+ days, enticing. With much respect for studios like Vanillaware Games who constantly go against the grain in a 3D saturated market, and Ubisoft (Rayman), we want to continue progressing the 2D genre as well; exploring new tactics of development and elements of game play, while creating mesmerizing experiences based on shocking and vibrant art styles. Who we’re looking to work with:
Members who are as passionate about the potential projects as we are, have a passion for games and games development, want to see new experiences come to life, and who understand KJCs mission. We want Nintendo thinking, Sony executing individuals. We’re looking for the underdog experts of their fields; energetic, respectful of his work and fellow teammates, love the ideas, underlying works (since some projects will be based off of KJC Comix IPs), want to see the team grow into more than just a one-shot effort. We’re looking for individuals to help share the risks and challenges that exists in games development and therefore we embrace cross-development if possible (a high degree of separation does us no good yet). Most of all, we just want to have fun building a new brand of creative opportunity; to experience a creative euphoria with like minded individuals pushing for the same goal.

Lead Programmer (Can be another Junior or Senior Programmer)

Spine/Flash Animator aka Animation Finisher

Qualities prefered for Lead Programmer:
-Must have a great or strong knowledge of C#
-Experience working with Unity3D/2D prefered
-Available to scale to other engines for other products if necessary (for example, UDK)
-Experience with game code, game logic etc.
-Knowledge of C++ and web technologies such as HTML5, Javascript, and PHP a plus.

Compensation Plan
At the moment and considering the state of the team, I can not offer immediate pay for services. As an entertainment industry creative myself, I heavily understand the individual needs for payment, therefore a reasonable compromise is to limit the opportunity cost incurred to you in time and money. To do this, we will step development starting with prototypes and leverage a building subscription base which will be handled through Patreon or our proprietary platform (this subscription base is being developed for KJC aka the parent company which might even replace the need for kickstarter) as our primary funding platform for future project development. However, we will offload to kickstarter or other crowdfunding platforms on a project by project basis to either finish/polish productions, provide REASONABLE new features, or extend our market reach potential.

In addition, team members will be paid based on share of profit gained weighed against milestone goals achieved for each role, and based on amount of work provided (and accounted). Share is reduced if these goals aren’t met on a predetermined basis by the project manager. Project additional income will come from in game purchases, ads (if applicable) and merchandise sales.
