Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
Job type: Permanent, full time
Location: London Fields, London
Closing date: 31/05/2016

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Unity game developer who will be involved in the full lifecycle of Playniac’s independent and work-for-hire games, from concept development and game design through to build, testing and launch. You know how to express yourself in code as well as in words, documenting and communicating about your work clearly.

You have experience developing games and advanced C# and Unity skills. You’ve already played a key role in developing several Unity titles for mobile, tablet, console and/or PC. You have a game development degree (or equivalent) and the ability to develop in several languages. You think analytically about game design. You will be responsible for implementing and polishing key features. Above all, you must be ambitious, personable and enthusiastic about making great games – you’re probably a bit of a perfectionist; you likely play a lot of games too.

We’re a small, friendly team and you’ll be doing exciting work that stretches you and lets you develop your skills. Playniac’s games are earning us recognition worldwide, and you will be a key part of that success. Recent projects have won critical acclaim and been showcased in international festivals. We have a comfortable central-London studio with ergonomic chairs, assorted breakout areas and a kitchen. We’re near to all of the bars and food places of Broadway Market and the outdoors of London Fields.

You are:

a developer with a minimum of 2+ years Unity C# game development experience;
experienced in advanced Unity development using C# and associated frameworks with several Unity games in your portfolio;
knowledgeable about Unity development for iOS, Android, Windows and OSX and integrating with features specific to each platform (experience with Unity development for consoles a bonus);
passionate about games and experienced in game design – your own experiments and game projects are considered a plus;
experienced in working with version control;
able to apply industry-standard development methodologies such as Agile;
a creative, talented coder who knows OOP and cares about elegant solutions, beautiful code and efficient design;
an excellent problem solver and planner;
in possession of excellent written and oral skills in English;
someone who can inspire and be inspired by working in our team.
