We are looking for a passionate and creative Game Developer to join our dev team. If you are excited by the idea of working in a tight-knit team of artists, programmers, linguists and designers then this could be the perfect job for you. If education and RPGs are your passions, even better!

Wibbu is changing the way the world learns languages right from our office in the heart of London. As an Educational Games studio, we take the science of language acquisition, blend in our own teaching methods, and add a generous pinch of video-gaming mechanics to create the world’s first immersive language-learning 3D RPG.

Your role
Create fun and fluid 3D gameplay with Unity 5 in C# for iOS and Android with a high level of quality and polish.
Get involved in all areas of game development including programming of graphics, game logic, mechanics, controls and user interface.
Have a game-design mindset. Everyone gets the chance to be hands on with the game.
Be involved in the design of the overall software architecture of the game and document code design decisions.
Work closely with the cross-functional team to understand the challenges of artists and linguists, fostering a knowledge sharing and coaching environment.
Perform first past feature testing with both a technical and UX mindset.
Work with the Tech Lead to define tasks and set priority.

Requirements
Join our team full-time in our London office. We are not looking for remote or freelance work.
At least 5 years experience developing games. With at least one released title on mobile.
Experience in creating third person view camera and player controls.
Experience with fine tuning animations using IK.
Understand what makes gameplay and controls look and feel great!
Understand how to optimise code for mobile games.
Strong C# skills. Focused on usability, maintainability, and quality; building for the long term. Unity knowledge a big plus.
Have a passion for software development and OO Design.
Experience of working in an Agile Software Development environment.
A smart and a quick learner who loves to master new technologies, and takes the initiative when facing big challenges.
The ability to see things from the point of view of the game’s target audience.

You can speak a few different languages.
You have experience in test automation.
You have knowledge of OpenGL.
You can write shaders.
The Wibbu Game and Team
We are super passionate about education, languages and gaming. Our multi-nationality team is focused on creating the most engaging and enjoyable language-learning products on the market.

Wibbu English is a mobile and PC-based game for learning languages. On the market, we currently have beta versions for Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese speakers to learn English, with over 250,000 downloads to date.

This year will see us developing a brand new 3D adventure RPG game for 15-30-year-olds, focusing on the Spanish and English speaking markets.
