ustwo – VR Unity developer (contract) 3 months

Posted On: September 30th, 2016    Job Type: Part Time    Job Location: ,

We are looking for a freelance VR Unity developer with proven experience to lead our first commercial VR project in the London studio.

This is an initial 3 months engagement to be the main developer in a mixed ustwo and client team to work on an early product validation for a world scale hardware OEM.

The project is likely to kick off around 10th or 17th of October.

Proven experience developing great VR products. Please add links to projects you have worked on or be prepared to bring them to the studio for us to have a look.
Experience with Unity graphics programming including draw call optimisation and shaders.
A proactive approach to problem solving through collaboration with other team members and disciplines.
Someone that is comfortable in unknown territory. This is not crunch time, this is ideation and finding solutions to problems time.
Someone that has enough VR experience under their belt that can help the team stay clear of unproductive technical rabbit holes.
Experience contributing to the design of great user experiences.
Can tell “good” from “great”, the experiences you build are simple, elegant and centred around user needs.
Experience with audio, animation and modelling would be appreciated.

We champion unrivalled user experience design and best-in-class technical practices, but we recognise that product is so much more than either of these in isolation. For us, it is all about making these elements come together to form a product that, at its core, is centred on real human needs. ustwo is committed to making a measurable positive impact on people’s everyday lives.

When it comes to our community, we’re people centred and actively seek to work with people of all ages, stories and backgrounds. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We believe diverse teams help us make better products and actively hire for cultural growth. We fundamentally care about you being nice to work with, passionate about what you do and demonstrating the right technical skills.
