3D Game Artist / Environment Artist

Full time – 4 month contract (with opportunity for permanent employment)

Creative production agency specialising in Augmented and Virtual Reality is seeking 3D Games Artist to join their expanding team delivering ground-breaking experiences in the Business to Business sector.

Artists will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology, creating content for global brands and be encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge, exploring and experimenting with the possibilities of AR/VR.

The successful applicant will join a team of talented and passionate artists, programmers and producers building inspiring and captivating experiences in a friendly working environment.


• Working as part of a close-knit team on a variety of projects.
• Working alongside producers, artists and developers to create high quality 3D work.
• Artistically influencing projects and adding your own creative flair.
• Working closely with programmers to ensure art assets are fully optimized for target platforms while minimizing any impact on the artistic integrity of your assets.

Must have skills

• Able to 3D model, UVW unwrap and animate for game engines using 3ds Max.
• Able to create diffuse/albedo, normal and specular maps for your models using photoshop, substance painter or equivalent.
• Experience within the Unity engine placing, lighting and animating models.
• The ability to create custom unity shaders using Shader Forge, ShaderLab or equivalent.

Nice to have skills

• Experience using Unity terrain.
• Able to rig/skin and animate character models in 3ds Max.
• Capable of modifying existing character models and their textures.
• Capable of optimising/retopologizing high detail models to a triangle count suitable for games.
• Experience creating high detail models in zBrush (or equivalent) and subsequently using the high detail models to create normal maps for lower detail models.
